Horse Camp
Specialized Horse Overnight Summer Camp Experience
Connect with our horses along with your fellow campers at Weaver Ranch Horse Camp. Horse Camp at YMCA Camp Weaver provides a unique experience to aspiring riders where they can learn English and Western riding styles and hands-on horse care like grooming, tacking and basic care. Campers also learn basic anatomy of the horse.
Campers will spend half of each day at our equestrian center and the other half in other camp activities on our beautiful 132-acre camp.
Horse Camp Facilities
At YMCA Camp Weaver, we provide excellent equestrian facilities which include a large barn with indoor riding ring and room for more than a dozen horses, several outdoor practice rings, a grazing pastures and riding trails.
Program Details
Our Horse Camp programs at Camp Weaver are top of the line and specially designed to ensure each participant grows in their horsemanship skills while developing character and confidence. We keep a low counselor to camper ratio of 1:3 while at the barn.
Campers must be 9 years old or older to participate in the program. Younger campers with riding experiences may enroll in the program with a note from a riding instructor and approval from the camp director.
Cost
Weaver Ranch Horse Camp is an available specialty camp option a part of our Overnight Summer Camp program for an additional $215 per session.
