Overnight Summer Camp
A one-week overnight camp is the perfect way for your child to have the ultimate summer camp experience. We have great staff, exciting activities, innovative evening programs and new facilities. Our overnight camp is an experience that your child will remember forever.
YMCA Camp Weaver offers a variety of fun and safe outdoor camp activities to spark the interest of every camper, all while building friendships, character and confidence. Your camper will be able to try new things and participate in their favorite activities year after year all at a small-sized camp that will allow them to foster deeper relationships.
Registration for 2025 will open Nov. 5th
All overnight campers have the opportunity to experience all camp activities, without additional fees.
Overnight Summer Camp Clinic Activities
Overnight summer campers can sign up for three clinic activities in advance of their camp session. These activities all have a skill building and a social emotional learning focus. Campers participate in three clinic activities each morning for the entire week. Availability of clinics depends on the number of children who sign up. Not all clinics will be available every activity period.
Archery
Campers learn bow and arrow skills while working through the archery ranks.
Arts and Crafts
Crafts including friendship bracelet making, painting, coloring, cardboard crafts and more!
Canoeing/Kayaking
Games and obstacles on the lake with canoes and kayaks.
Movie Making
Make short clip movies with high quality equipment.
Skateboarding
Shred it Dude! Learn how to stand, move, and balance on a skateboard. No prior skills, pads or skateboard needed. We have a challenging skate park with ramps and rails for you to practice on and get better each day!
Dance
This activity offers ballet, lyrical, and modern dance while teaching coordination, flexibility, and proper technique. Campers will also learn techniques for choreographing their own work.
Magic Money
This course gives campers the opportunity to learn all about money–everything from careers, to credit cards, budgeting and more is covered in this class.
Exotic Animal Care and Mini Farm
Care for Exotic Animals (corn snakes, russian tortoise, bearded dragon) and pigs, chickens, goats and a rabbit while learning about the animals and their habitats.
Gardening
Dig in and get dirty! Our farm-to-table program lets campers harvest fresh veggies from our gardens while building knowledge of animals and plants.
Paintball Obstacle Course*
Learn the anatomy of paintball gun, paintball terms and how to shoot properly. Campers can practice on all different kinds of targets.
Mountain Biking*
Mountain bikers will experience a variety of exciting terrain and trails around camp. Campers can also learn bike maintenance and trail building skills.
Photography
This program uses digital photography to teach campers how to capture those special camp memories while learning to use and respect the camera and computer equipment.
Outdoor Cooking
Learn how to cook over a fire with a dutch oven and other skills.
Ceramics
Campers learn techniques to increase their skills in hand-building, wheel throwing and glazing.
Drama
Clinic includes play directing, improv acting, singing, and music.
Outdoor Living Skills
Learn to construct a shelter, build a fire, and other wilderness survival skills all while practicing “Leave No Trace” principles.
Ropes Course
Counselors will teach low-ropes elements, teamwork, cooperation games, low-organizational games and trust activities on a daily basis.
Sports
Clinic which may combine one or more different games, including soccer, basketball, frisbee golf and more!
BB Range
Campers are taught the importance of personal responsibility around BB guns, as well as learning shooting techniques on a closed and closely monitored range.
Stand-Up Paddleboards and Corcl Boats
Games on the lake on stand up paddle boards and round “Corcl” boat.
*Campers must be 10 years old or older to participate in these activities.
Meals
Overnight summer campers will receive a delicious hot meal throughout their stay at camp. If your camper has a food allergy, please let us know during registration. For more information about dietary needs, arrival procedures and more information, refer to our Camp Guide.
Camp Weaver is a complete nut-free facility. Please be mindful of this policy and refrain from sending items that contain nuts to camp.
Lake Activities
Swimming activities based on swimming band color. Campers participate in a swim evaluation on Sunday, a basic swim lesson is an option to those campers who have a red swim band. Read our Camp Guide to learn more about our swim evaluation.

Schedule & Cost
Cost
Overnight Summer Camp cost is $865 for YMCA Nationwide Members and $910 for Community Guests per session. Overnight Summer Camp requires a $100 non-refundable deposit per session. This amount is applied to the session balance. Note: Camp fee subject to change.
YMCA Camp Weaver believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience camp regardless of income. To serve its community, Camp Weaver and the YMCA of Greensboro offer Financial Assistance to participants and is granted based on the need demonstrated by household income and/or extenuating circumstances. Additional Fee
Stayover Camp Weekends
Stayover Camp Weekends are only available after a camp session on specific dates. They are designed to connect one overnight camp session to another for an extended camp experience. Stayover weekends are an additional cost. To register, add the Stayover Camp Weekend option when registering for both camp weeks.
2025 Summer Camp Open House Dates
Attending an Open House for Summer Camp is a great way to explore camp, meet staff and ask questions as well as enjoy a fun camp activity. Open Houses include a grab and go lunch. We hope to see you at one of our Open House dates!
