General FAQs
Is my camper the correct age for camp?
Day Camp is open to 6 to 12 year olds. Overnight Camp is open to 7 to 16 year olds. We also offer leadership programs (Leader in Training and Counselor in Training) for 15 to 17 year olds.
Can children bring a cell phone to camp?
We don’t allow cell phones at camp. It is our belief that cell phones isolate the campers from developing positive relationships at camp and are a distraction from their camp experience.
Who do I inform about my child’s food allergies?
Please detail your child’s allergies on the camper medical form as well as their Camper Profile form. Our food service director, Ray Jackson, is always happy to talk with parents directly about food allergies.
Who do I contact about special medical information and medications?
Please include all information on the camper health history form on your CampInTouch account. You can call our office and talk to one of our directors at any time regarding medical information/medications. Our registered nurse will be available on Sunday at check-in if you prefer a face-to-face conversation.
What is the staff-to-camper ratio?
Average staff to camper ratio is 1:4.
Will my child have to take a swim evaluation?
All campers will take a swim test and are given a band that indicates their swimming ability. Green – all access. Yellow – Restricted to shallow end of pool. Red – Restricted to non swimmer areas of pool and lake. Please see our swim test policy in the camp guide.
How will my child get to camp if they are flying in?
Airport transportation is available for campers flying into camp for an additional fee. Each situation is different and will be arranged based on needs through our main office. Please note that we prefer camper to fly into the Greensboro Airport but we can pick-up in Raleigh or Charlotte as well.
Overnight Camper FAQs
What ages are allowed at overnight camp?
Overnight Camp is open to 7 to 16 year olds. We also offer leadership programs (Leader in Training and Counselor in Training) for 15 to 17 year olds.
How to I register for camp?
To register for any camp, please click on the registration link at the top of the website and register for your desired camp experience.
Is there a deposit for camp?
Yes, there is a deposit to reserve your spot. Overnight camp deposits are $100 per week and is deducted from the camp rate.
When is my balance due?
Your camp balance is due at least three weeks prior to the beginning of each camp session.
Is there a payment plan for camp?
Yes, you may make payment of any amount from registration until three weeks before the start of your camp session. However, payments can’t be made on auto-draft — must be manually paid.
Can I send mail and/or care packages?
Camp mail is always welcome. Please make sure you write the cabin name on the letter. If you would like to send a care package, we ask that you send enough for your camper to share it with the cabin. Please only include healthy snacks and no nuts. We are a nut free campus. Visit our contact page for mailing address.
What are stayover weekends?
Stayover weekends are a bridge between sessions if your child would like to stay two weeks or more. They are not stand alone sessions. Please see our schedule for information about the stay over trip locations.
What do the themes mean?
Overnight camp uses themes as a basis for evening programs.
Can I request a cabin mate request?
Cabin mate requests must be within two years of age and are limited to two requests per camper.
What happens if my child gets homesick?
It is very normal for a child to experience homesickness. Our staff use a step-by-step process to work with campers who are missing home. The majority of campers have no issues after the first night but if your child continues to have difficulty, we will contact you for guidance.
How do I add money to my camper’s account for the camp store?
Once logged into your online account, you can add trading post credits through the ‘View Camp Trading Post Icon’. Please note, no food is sold in the store and campers are encouraged to spend all of their money, unspent money is non refundable.

Groups FAQs
How many people can Camp Weaver accommodate in my group?
Size of groups is customizable based on what you would like your group to do and experience. Camp Weaver has 182 bunks to accommodate overnight guests. Please contact us to talk through your group’s needs.
How much is a group rental at Camp Weaver?
Pricing varies by group size, activities and meals requested. Please contact us to build your perfect group rental experience!
Are meals included in group rentals?
Your Camp Weaver group experience is customizable. If you need meals, we are happy to accommodate. We can serve a full range of meal types and accommodate special dietary restrictions.

When are camp fees due?
Camp fees are due three weeks before the start of the session. Parents can use your online CampInTouch account to make a payment.

I’m locked out of my online account. How do I get in?
Call our camp office so we can unlock your account. If you have forgotten your password, once on the login screen, click SET/RETRIEVE PASSWORD, in the lower right hand corner. You will be emailed with the next steps to retrieve or reset your password.
I’m a member of the Y. Do I receive the YMCA rate?
If you have a nationwide YMCA membership, you can receive the YMCA membership rate when signing up. Please select that you are a Y member at registration.
