CAMP CORRAL
The mission of Camp Corral is to transform the lives of children of wounded, ill, and fallen military heroes by providing camp, advocacy, and enrichment programs. These children face hardships and make sacrifices beyond their years. They deserve specialized programs which provide them with the opportunities to build emotional resilience and transformational skills to live their best lives possible. Weaver provides these specialized programs that help them build the necessary skills to succeed in life.
Scott Free
The Scott-Free Scholarship is need based and pairs at risk children with camps or programs that offer sports, technology, theater, music, arts, and education. Each summer, the recipients will receive full or partial scholarships that enable them to explore and discover the extent of their talents and abilities. Scott-Free’s longtime partnership with Camp Weaver is as strong as ever as we look forward to collaborating to provide more opportunities for children. Camp Weaver is proud to welcome those campers who would otherwise not be able to attend camp. Camper’s from this program attend a regular camp session and enjoy all the activities and experiences Weaver has to offer.
PARTNERSHIP VILLAGE
Partnership Village is a transitional housing community that offers affordable housing in a supportive environment for homeless individuals or families that are working towards greater self-sufficiency. The primary goal of the program is for each household to become independent and qualify for conventional housing.
Residents of Partnership Village meet regularly with a case manager and together they identify goals that need to be met to become self-sufficient. These goals are based on three performance measures: 1) maintaining housing/residential stability, 2) increasing skills and/or income and 3) increasing self-determination. Every summer, we welcome children from Partnership Village to experience one week of overnight camp.
Camp Hope - Family Justice Center
Each summer, we have seen the camp setting enhance a special week of community building. The transformational power of hope that is fostered when youth who have experienced trauma can be in relationship with one another and learn new pathways for healing. It is our shared goal to create experiences for all participants that increase hope, resilience, and change destinies. Camp Weaver provides campers with a unique environment that aids in the recreational therapy they need. Select Weaver staff are also selected to work with the Family Justice Center program this week and continue to be role models throughout the year.
