Summer Day Camp
At Camp Weaver we offer a fun-filled day summer camp experience for campers aged 6 to 12 years old. Children are grouped by age and make the journey to each camp activity under the supervision of Camp Weaver counselors. Each day, every camper will have the opportunity to participate in both land and water activities.
Our day camp is a great opportunity for children who may be looking to take that first step toward participating in overnight summer camp, but may not quite be ready to stay overnight.

Summer Day Camp Activities
Just because your camper isn’t staying overnight at summer camp doesn’t mean he or she has to miss out on the summer camp fun! We jam-pack day campers’ schedules with as many activities and fun experiences as we can while teaching each child core skills that they will keep with them as they grow up. Summer campers will participate in a wide variety of activities during their time at YMCA Camp Weaver Summer Camp. We hear every summer that day campers can’t wait to come back to camp day after day to see their friends, enjoy camp programs and soak in all of the fun summer activities.

Day in the Life of a Day Camper
All campers travel to all activity areas and meals in their group cohort. Groups are divided by age. During the application process you can request children to be in the same group.
Sample Summer Day Camp Schedule
7:30 – 9:00am | General Check-In
9:00am | Morning Meeting
9:30 – 10:30am | Swimming in the pool or lake (swim evaluation takes place on Mondays, campers will not have regular swim time on Mondays)
11:00am | Meet at Flag Pole
11:15am. | Lunch
11:50am. | Activities Begin
1:00pm. | Snack
1:30pm | Activities Continue
4:00pm | Snack
4:30pm | Check-Out Begins
Meals
Day summer campers will receive a delicious hot lunch each day as well as snacks throughout the day. If your camper has a food allergy, please let us know during registration.
Camp Weaver is a complete nut-free facility. Please be mindful of this policy and refrain from sending items that contain nuts to camp.
Check-In and Check-Out Procedures
Summer Day Camp check-in and check-out procedures are easy and convenient for parents and guardians. Campers and be dropped off/picked up at Camp Weaver or at one of our bus sites throughout Greensboro, North Carolina.

Schedule & Cost
Cost
Summer Day Camp weekly cost is $310 for YMCA Nationwide Members and $320 for Community Guests. Summer Day Camp requires a $50 non-refundable reservation administrative fee per session. This amount is applied to the weekly balance. Note: Camp fee subject to change.
YMCA Camp Weaver believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience camp regardless of income. To serve its community, Camp Weaver and the YMCA of Greensboro offer Financial Assistance to participants and is granted based on the need demonstrated by household income and/or extenuating circumstances. Additional Fee: Bus Transportation at Bus Sites
We offer two bus sites conveniently located in Greensboro:
Spears Family YMCA: 3216 Horse Pen Creek Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410
Kathleen Price Bryan Family YMCA: 501 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27401
There is an additional fee for bus transportation ($30/camper/week). You must be signed up for bus transportation at least three days prior to session start date, based on availability. Please be sure to sign up online or call our office. Please call the office to communicate any important information. We do not prorate any fees. All fees are on a weekly basis. We do not offer daily rates. Please be sure to sign in with the Camp Weaver staff, who will be wearing a staff shirt. Our staff will ask you to set a pick-up password. Please share this password with anyone who will be picking up your child. Campers will not be released without the proper password.
Summer Camp Open House Dates
Attending an Open House for Summer Day Camp is a great way to explore camp, meet staff and ask questions as well as enjoy a fun camp activity. Floating event with ongoing tours. We hope to see you at one of our Open House dates!
