New STEM Makerspace Coming to Camp Weaver
Thanks to the generosity of our community, this Giving Tuesday we raised over $4,000 to renovate the former horse shed into an exciting new STEM Makerspace for campers.
This project will transform an unused building into a creative hub where ideas come to life.
A Space Designed for Hands-On Learning
The new STEM Makerspace at Camp Weaver will be thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity and problem-solving.
The space will include:
-
LEGO Land for building and design
-
A dedicated STEM classroom for lessons and group projects
-
A wood shop where campers can learn basic construction skills
Each area will encourage hands-on learning, teamwork, and innovation. Campers will have the opportunity to experiment, build, and explore in ways that strengthen confidence and critical thinking.
Launching Summer 2026
Volunteer efforts will begin this spring as we prepare the space for its official opening in Summer 2026.
We are excited to gather community members who want to help bring this vision to life. Together, we are creating a space that will support creativity, curiosity, and growth for years to come.
Thank you for helping make this STEM Makerspace possible. Your support is turning potential into opportunity.
